J. Wiley Ellis
is a named partner in the firm and primarily represents
larger Savannah-owned and operated businesses having
offices throughout the United States. He has extensive
transactional experience, including capital formation,
acquisitions, financing and securities. Mr. Ellis
also represents various maritime business organizations
and multi-employer management labor organizations
and benefit funds. Mr. Ellis also serves as Chairman
and General Counsel to The Savannah Bank, N.A., and
is active in numerous charitable organizations.
Mr. Ellis is a native of Savannah and a graduate of
Emory University (B.A. 1962). He graduated from the
University of Virginia Law School (LLB 1965) where
he also earned a Master of Laws in Taxation (1966).
Mr. Ellis is also licensed to practice law in North
Carolina.
